Re:Think FrontWater

It’s raining. Where is your water going?
Typical front garden scapes drive water towards stormwater management systems and away from infiltration or rain barrels. Living in a groundwater-sourced community, recharge potential is paramount. The Re:Think FrontWater program will provide examples of native-planted, water efficient front yards and driveways which showcase integrated water management and sustainable landscaping at a number of prominent locations throughout the city. By establishing a new normal for front yards in Guelph, we will create a paradigm shift for the typical design plan. Our yards will showcase water management, providing educational and social spaces, creating a new standard for design, while of course, looking beautiful.
