Wellington Water Watchers proposes a documentary film about a neighbourhood here in Guelph whose homeowners agree to have their water turned off for one summer month. Unlimited water will be available from a standing pipe within the neighbourhood, the only catch is, each household must go to collect their water and carry it home for all their needs. What challenges do they face? How do they overcome them? What ideas will they have about water use and conservation going forward?
We suspect that many teachings will come from this experiment. We suspect it will be an interesting watch. We’d like to make this happen. We need financial or in-kind support to film, edit and promote this radical idea!
