HATCH [pop-up art-space] is a project that will address the long asserted need for the development of more community arts space in Guelph. Through public and private partnerships, Guelph Arts Council (GAC) will collaborate with artists and property owners to animate Guelph’s urban streetscape in unexpected ways.

In partnership with Downtown Renewal and Downtown Guelph Business Association (DGBA), GAC will work with artists to ignite our downtown through the temporary installation of storefront art exhibitions, studios, and happenings by selected artists. Successful applicants will be juried into vacant spaces and provided with free temporary art-space and stipends when available.
