In the field of early learning and child care, we are actively combating Nature Deficit Disorder; an epidemic amongst children who are becoming more and more disconnected from nature and the environment. Creating play spaces with intentionality and with all natural materials provides children with opportunities connect with nature, and promote healthy attitudes towards environmental stewardship. Our dream is to create a beautiful, carefully planned natural play space within the Ontario Early Years Centre at Stone Road Mall in Guelph. This will serve as an accessible, natural play space for all families with young children to explore and learn together.
